Apple releases macOS 27.2 Golden Gate
Apple has released latest macOS 27.2 Golden Gate software, marking the first major update to macOS 27 since its launch in September this year. If macOS 27.2 Golden Gate is available for your device, click Upgrade Now or Update Now. First announced at WWDC in June this year, the macOS 27 Golden Gate software update features a transparency slider that runs from completely clear to fully tinted, so you pick your poison.
Sidebars stretch to the edge of the window with refraction continuing underneath them, sidebar icons keep their colour, and every window shares the same corner radius—even apps that haven’t been updated.
In its release notes, Apple said: “This update provides enhancements to Siri AI with the ability to retain useful context from previous Siri interactions as well as draw from a wider range of personal context. Among other changes, the update brings changes to brightness and volume sliders. It also expands Siri AI to new languages including French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. It also introduces Suggestions in Messages that help you take quick actions in apps like Calendar and Reminders based on context from your conversation. This release includes additional features, bug fixes, and security updates for your Mac”.
