Meta’s new AI pet writes your diary

Meta has quietly released Waddle World, a Tamagotchi-style virtual pet that listens to how your day went and turns it into an illustrated journal entry. The free app is on the App Store and Google Play , but only for adults in the Philippines for now.

Meta has not said whether Waddle World will reach India or other markets. He also flagged another Meta app, an AI fashion tool called Style Sketch, reportedly available in Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand. Both fit a pattern. At its Connect event in September, Meta showed the Muse Charm, an egg-shaped, keychain-sized companion device for its Muse AI agent, due this December. You use AI every day. Now get your AI Quotient. Waddle World is a 16-bit game where users hatch an egg, raise a pixel pet and talk to it.

The more users share, the better the pet understands what their weeks look like, according to Meta. Hold the mic, describe your day, and the pet writes it up as a journal entry in its own voice, with a hand-drawn doodle to match. Typing works too. Meta’s own listing calls it “a daily journal disguised as a pet. The creature has moods, from happy and hangry to sleepy and bored, and needs feeding and playtime like any virtual pet. It also mails users a weekly postcard about something they mentioned and asks one silly question every day. There are short mini-games too, each lasting two to three minutes. One has users stacking groceries on the pet’s head, another involves catching stars while dodging bombs, and a third is a word game. Stamps earned along the way buy food and toys. The app has been live since late September and was spotted by social media consultant Matt Navarra.
