The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

He announced that BJP would hold padayatras from Nov 2 to 6 across 10 regions of Karnataka, including Mysuru, Kalaburagi, Shivamogga, Mangaluru, Koppal, Kolar, Hubballi and Belagavi. Rejecting Congress’ claim that 13 crore voters were illegally removed from electoral rolls, Ravikumar said the deletions involved deceased, relocated, duplicate and fake entries.

Ravikumar said Congress, which had questioned EVMs and demanded voting through ballot papers, had now received an answer through ballots. He described the result as a rebuke to the ruling party and warned that it would pay a political price if it failed to respond. He also accused govt of neglecting Kalyana Karnataka and criticised remarks by a father and son against Prime Minister Narendra Modi , saying voters had responded through the ballot. The marches would form part of a nationwide campaign against what he described as INDIA bloc’s attempts to create disorder.

Ballari: Legislative Council chief whip N Ravikumar on Thursday said the MLC election results offered Karnataka’s Congress govt an opportunity to introspect, claiming its defeat reflected public anger over neglect, financial mismanagement and rising prices.
