Over one lakh voters have been excluded, according to it. The details have been published on the official website and at the concerned taluk offices for verification,” said L Nagaraj, additional deputy commissioner, Haveri. They must verify their names and approach the competent authority with supporting documents if corrections are required,” an election official said.

Eligible voters who submitted the required documents were retained, while those who failed to do so were removed from the rolls. Deputy commissioner Vijay Mahantesh Danammanavar urged citizens to verify their names at polling stations, tahsildar offices, electoral registration officer offices, the Karnataka chief electoral officer’s website or the Haveri district website.

“Voters should not assume that inclusion in earlier lists guarantees continuation in the revised roll.

The district now has 6,28,297 male voters, 6,04,969 female voters and 28 voters in the third-gender category across 1,559 polling stations spread over six assembly constituencies. The revised figures are expected to influence booth-level electoral strategies ahead of upcoming elections.
