Delhi Police have arrested three men for allegedly operating a cyber fraud network

The emergence of CCTV footage has added a fresh dimension to the case

New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested three men for allegedly operating a cyber fraud network from a moving car, which they used as a mobile call centre to evade location tracking.

Rathore was apprehended, and the investigation led police to Lokesh Tomar (37) and Tushar (35). Police seized the vehicle, seven mobile phones, 15 bank, debit and Metro cards, five PAN cards, four Aadhaar cards or copies, six cheque books, three passbooks, a signed cheque, two rent agreements, 11 photographs, nine pages of customer details and a suspected forged NPCI stamp.

Police said they used a car as a mobile operational base, frequently changing locations. The investigation began after suspicious transactions in a bank account linked to Himanshu Rathore were flagged on National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. Technical analysis and surveillance helped the team track the vehicle to Old Kondli, where the other two accused were intercepted. Police are probing possible links to cyber fraud cases in other interstate connections.

The arrests followed an investigation after a complaint by Neelesh Vishwakarma, a resident of Madhya Pradesh’s Umaria district, who was allegedly cheated of Rs 65,000 on the pretext of processing fees for a refund of Rs 45 lakh invested in insurance policies.
