Thane: A former Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) corporator, Sanjay Ghadigaonkar, has urged the civic administration to disclose comprehensive details of all civic works and development projects undertaken since January 2021, citing public accountability and transparency in the utilisation of public funds.

In a series of letters written to the municipal commissioner, Ghadigaonkar has sought project-wise information on funding, administrative approvals, tenders, contractors, work orders, expenditure, completion status, quality inspections and action against defective works. He also proposed a dedicated online transparency portal featuring searchable and downloadable project records. Meanwhile, few Thane leaders, including NCP-SP Raj Rajapurkar; Vikrant Chavan, former Congress corporator; MNS’ Avinash Jadhav; and Naresh Manera from UBT, have written to the Thane police seeking action against MMRDA officials for endangering lives of motorists after the Kasarwadavli flyover was shut after developing structural defects.
