Lucknow: In a step towards sustainable development and international research collaboration, University of Lucknow, Bharat Norden Regional Consortium (BNORC), Norway, Samband AS, Norway, and Lakshya Foundation, India, have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish the Panchtatva Circular Bioeconomy-Green Hydrogen Centre of Excellence (PCB-GH₂ CoE) and Demonstration Platform.
The initiative is based on the philosophy that “a mother can never be a liability; Gau Mata and our gaushalas are invaluable assets” and seeks to transform India’s traditional gaushala ecosystem into a driver of rural prosperity, environmental protection and technological innovation. The stakeholders said the initiative could help position Uttar Pradesh as a contributor to India’s green transition. The collaboration aims to combine advanced technologies and expertise from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland and Denmark with Indian research, indigenous knowledge and implementation capabilities. The project brings together Nordic technology and Indian expertise to advance BNORC’s Mission Zero vision of Zero Waste, Zero Pollution and sustainable livelihoods.
