Addressing a press conference, Puranik said graduates from disciplines such as BA, BCom and diploma courses can also build rewarding careers in cybersecurity with the right training and skills. He said the book would benefit students, lecturers, AI learners and general readers by presenting cybersecurity concepts in a simple and structured manner. Dismissing fears that artificial intelligence will only lead to job losses, he said technological change creates new opportunities even as some roles evolve or disappear, urging youngsters to adapt quickly.

He noted that a lack of awareness about relevant courses and career pathways has created a gap between industry demand and qualified professionals. To bridge this gap, Puranik has authored a cybersecurity book in Kannada aimed at students and youth, particularly in North Karnataka. Download the TOI App.
