A video grab shows Juhi Mehta moving her car forward despite the uniformed cop repeatedly asking her to wait till other police personnel arrive

Mehta, chief operating officer of an online media company, was booked for threatening and obstructing traffic constable Prashant Hake (36) and driving towards him after an accident at Sangeet Mahabharati Junction on Oct 30. The hatchback driver, Navinkumar Udaychand Jha (42), told Hake that the high-end car had hit his vehicle from behind. Deputy commissioner of police (Zone West-2) Mohit Garg said further procedures were under way.

Because several people were recording the incident, mehta claimed she was trying to park the car to the side to prevent congestion and was uncomfortable stepping out.

Police said fault in the accident remained unclear. A person at the scene recorded the incident, according to the complaint. Joint commissioner of police, traffic division, Satyanarayan Chaudhary said necessary action was being taken under standard operating procedures.

Mumbai: Juhu police have impounded the high-end car and asked the regional transport office to cancel the driving licence of Juhu resident Juhi Mehta, who had allegedly hit vehicles and threatened a traffic constable in Vile Parle (West) last week. She was arrested the next day and later granted bail. Mehta allegedly drove away at high speed towards JVPD Junction. Hake observed damage to its boot, bumper, right taillight, sensor lock and paintwork.
