Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launches development projects worth Rs 520 crore in Gonda

Speaking at an event in Gonda where he launched 69 development projects worth Rs 520 crore, the CM asked the youth, who, he said, must have been 15 years or less when SP was in office the last time, to ask their parents what riots and curfews were like since SP and Congress stood for crime and goons, whereas BJP stood for respecting faith and change. This time, 67,000 Durga idols were installed across the state and 4.5 crore people participated in the kanwar yatra. Highlighting the changes in the state, especially in Gonda since 2017, Yogi said that it earlier took him 2.5-3 hours to reach the Maa Pateshwari Shaktipeeth from Gonda. In the 2016 Swachh Survekshan, Gonda was among the dirtiest cities in the country. Since 2017, I have sanctioned projects worth more than Rs 16,000 crore for Gonda district alone while projects worth about Rs 50,000 crore have been approved for the entire Devipatan division,” he said. In the 2023 Investors Summit, proposals of Rs 3,000 crore came for Gonda, he said, promising that development would not slow down in UP, which had emerged from a BIMARU state to the growth engine of India’s economy. “Till now I have given 12,000 to 15,000 appointment letters. This week, appointment letters will be given to 4,500 sub-inspectors. Immediately after Diwali, appointment letters will be given to 35,000 police constables, and after that to 42,000 Home Guards. The process of 25,000 to 30,000 appointments is also being advanced for teachers, subordinate service departments and other departments,” he said.

All festivals were celebrated peacefully,” the CM said. Children were dying of some “unknown disease”. Continuing his attack on SP, the CM said that no development scheme would reach Gonda as it would leave Lucknow but be hijacked midway and re-routed to another district.

“In Gonda, people were not allowed to worship Goddess Durga, but this year there were no restrictions and Sapai (those from SP) and kasai (butchers) who had a problem with Durga worship, could mourn in their own homes. SP made Durga pandals controversial and did not allow worship, and it did not even allow the kanwar yatra to take place. “Gonda, Balrampur and Shravasti were counted among the most backward and dirtiest districts in the country. For the then govt, the life of a poor person’s child had no value, there was no vision for the poor and no desire to work for the youth. Then development would only mean Rampur and Saifai but under BJP, development was taking place in every single development block in the state.

Lucknow: Calling Samajwadi Party a curse on UP, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that whenever the party had formed govt in UP, it had brought crime, anarchy, riots and chaos.

He spoke about the transparent recruitment process in the state, under which 9.5 lakh people had got govt jobs since 2017. He reminded SP chief Akhilesh Yadav that UP govt would give out 1 lakh new jobs over the next six months.

The CM said that youth from UP no longer needed to go to any other state for jobs. With an environment of security in the state, investments had started coming in and that had opened up employment opportunities.
