Sharma said these cells will ensure that BJP becomes all-encompassing (reaching every segment of society). By connecting these groups to the BJP, he said, the objective will be to prepare a cadre capable of providing fact-based rebuttals to the negative narratives propagated by the opposition on issues like the Citizenship Amendment Act and to garner broad public support. He explained that through these cells, the party aims to spread its ideology, organisational campaigns and programmes to every section of society. Furthermore, they will be tasked with communicating the public-welfare schemes and historic decisions of central and the state govts. He noted that a large number of party workers in Uttar Pradesh have been entrusted with responsibilities within these ‘Cell Clusters. They will establish contact and engage in dialogue with diverse segments of society, including teachers, doctors, advocates, traders, dairy producers, representatives of urban local bodies and panchayats, youth involved in sports, street vendors, senior citizens and those in the cooperative sector. The meeting assumes significance given the party’s emphasis on communities, occupational groups and sections of society that require focused engagement.
Lucknow : After setting the political and organisational agenda for the UP Assembly elections through a series of high-level meetings, including Union home minister Amit Shah ’s recent visit to Lucknow to chair the state working committee meeting, BJP on Monday shifted its focus to a more targeted exercise — mobilising its organisational cells to reach out to different sections of the society. A meeting of office-bearers of all organisational cells was held at the party’s state headquarters in Lucknow on Monday, where former Madhya Pradesh BJP president VD Sharma and UP BJP general secretary (organisation) Dharampal Singh spelled out the strategy for electoral micro-management.
Sources said the central objective was to expand the BJP’s organisational footprint across social and professional segments and ensure that its political messaging reaches people at the grassroots. The cells are expected to play an important role in establishing direct communication with different communities, occupational groups and workers, while identifying their specific concerns and feeding them into the party’s larger election strategy.
