Deputy chief minister Brijesh Pathak on Wednesday accused INDI alliance, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party of pursuing Muslim appeasement politics
He said SP and Congress had lost public support and were contesting elections solely on appeasement politics.
Pathak, who was in Kanpur to participate in BJP-organised Loktantra Bachao padayatra, said that none of alliance’s plans would succeed. He said their plans would fail. He said SP practised Muslim appeasement politics, while BJP followed the principle of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’. Pathak further said that INDI alliance leaders were privately discussing the creation of Bangladesh-like conditions in India and did not want to follow the democratic process. Pathak said BJP’s foot march in Kanpur would raise its voice against what he described as anti-people, anti-national and anarchy-promoting policies of INDI Alliance. He said the BJP-led govt was committed to protecting national unity, integrity and the dignity of Constitution.
He claimed BJP would form govt for a third time with a full majority. He accused them of questioning electronic voting machines (EVMs) after electoral defeats while finding no fault with them after victories. Pathak alleged that jailed goons and mafias were celebrating in anticipation of SP returning to power, hoping a change in govt would secure their release and allow them to again oppress people. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s leadership, India was setting new benchmarks in development, good governance, self-reliance and global prestige, he added.
