The retired policeman was away from home when his son called and allegedly abused him on the phone, according to the complaint. The assault took place at Vraj Tenement in Chandkheda, where the retired cop lives with his family. Chandkheda police have registered a case against his son, who is preparing for competitive exams. After he returned, the son allegedly turned aggressive and attacked him with a cricket stump. The senior citizen ran out of the house fearing for his life. The son then allegedly assaulted his mother and two sisters. Police personnel reached the residence after being informed about the incident, but the alleged assault continued even in their presence.
