The campaign seeks to encourage employees to stay away from tobacco, gutka and smoking, which can adversely affect physical and mental health. It also addresses excessive mobile phone use. Employees are being encouraged to pledge that they will not use mobile phones while on duty except in emergencies. They can write down the habits they wish to give up and drop it in the pledge bags. “Transport staff must be physically and mentally fit to provide services to passengers. Those who continue to struggle with harmful habits will be counselled and given further awareness to encourage them to give up the habits. Download the TOI App.
