Gadag: A 34-year-old man was allegedly murdered by a woman’s husband over a suspected extramarital relationship in Putagan village of Lakshmeshwar taluk in Gadag district on Wednesday. Police have arrested four people in connection with the case.
Following a confrontation, the woman’s husband, Anjaneya Kalasapur, allegedly attacked Agasibagilu with an iron rod and a wooden log, inflicting fatal injuries. Lakshmeshwar police have registered a murder case against Anjaneya, the woman Renuka , her mother Hanumavva Bhovi and her brother Dharmaraj Bhovi. All four accused have been arrested and further investigation is under way.
The woman’s family members found the two together on Wednesday, according to investigators.
Police said he was allegedly involved in a relationship with a married woman who lived opposite his house. The victim was identified as Iranna Agasibagilu. Her family had reportedly warned him twice against continuing the relationship, but he allegedly ignored the warnings.
