A total of 15 tourists from Rattihalli town in Haveri district are safe in Nepal

Haveri: Anxiety gripped families in Rattihalli town of Haveri district after a severe natural disaster struck Nepal, where 15 Kannadigas from six families were touring.

The tour was organised under the leadership of Shivangouda and Vinayak, according to relatives. Relatives in Rattihalli said the group remained calm despite the challenging situation and was coordinating internally to reach a safer location. Relief followed after the travellers informed their relatives that all members of the group were safe. The group, comprising businessmen and contractors, had travelled to Nepal a few days ago on a family trip. Following reports of the disaster, family members in Karnataka made frantic attempts to contact the travellers and ascertain their safety. Communication established later with the group brought much-needed reassurance, with the tourists confirming that everyone was unharmed. They expressed confidence that the tourists will return home without further difficulties.

The travellers are currently about 50 km from Pokhara and are moving towards Sonali . Stay updated with the latest Hubballi news. News of their safety has brought immense relief to family members, friends and residents of Rattihalli, many of whom had been worried after learning about the disaster.
