CHENNAI: An 84-year-old granite businessman and a couple were arrested by the Anti-Vice Squad of the Chennai city police’s Central Crime Branch on charges of sexually abusing a minor girl at a house in Teynampet. The case was registered in October 2025 after a child welfare volunteer handed over a pen drive containing a video that purportedly showed an elderly man sexually abusing a girl. The case was registered by the city police on Oct 7, 2025, based on a complaint filed by a social activist.

A minor girl worked at the house, according to police. Police said the investigation later established the identity of the man seen in the recording.
