Hy derabad: A r outine dispute over the spraying of grass and mosquito-control chemicals at a village panchayat office in Kalher mandal escalated into a confrontation, with panchayat secretary Rangaiah alleging that the sarpanch’s husband attempted to attack him with a chair.
The secretary told police that Sailu and Kamalakar created a commotion at the panchayat office for nearly an hour, disrupting official work. The incident occurred at the Bibipet gram panchayat office, where Rangaiah and Sailu, husband of sarpanch Santhoshmma, reportedly argued over the spraying of grass and mosquito-control chemicals in the village. Following the incident, Rangaiah approached Kalher police and lodged a complaint against Sailu. Sailu, however, also approached the police and lodged a counter-complaint against Rangaiah, presenting his version of the incident. Kalher police are investigating both complaints and examining the circumstances that led to the confrontation at the panchayat office.
