The remarks came during a 2024 interview with The Hollywood Reporter, when Kelce was spending time in Los Angeles and getting more familiar with the entertainment industry. Kelce was not exactly a stranger to entertainment by 2024. His 2023 appearance on Saturday Night Live gave viewers a chance to see his comedic side, while television commercials had already made him a familiar face outside the NFL.
He acknowledged that scripted entertainment was a new space for him and said he wanted to develop his own creative instincts rather than rush into projects. In an interview that year, Kelce admitted he was testing the waters in entertainment while still treating football as his priority. His comments drew plenty of attention online, with fans split over whether the tight end could make a successful transition to show business.
