Kanpur: Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur, will host Northern Regional Farmers’ Fair and Agricultural Industry Exhibition from Oct 15 to Oct 17 at its main campus, said the university vice-chancellor Sanjeev Gupta.

Director of Extension VK Tripathi said agricultural machinery, seeds, fertilisers, medicinal plants, handicrafts, solar-energy equipment, dairy products and processed foods would be displayed and sold. Media in-charge Khalil Khan said the fair would also showcase innovative and start-up models in smart and digital agriculture, developed by farmers and students in collaboration with agricultural science centres. The three-day event will have the theme “Empowered Farmers, Self-Reliant India. The newly developed crop varieties from the university, mushrooms and millet products will be among the main attractions.
