Fuel station temporarily closed after complaints of irregularities

Kanpur: A fuel station in Kadikheda, Kalyanpur, Kanpur, was temporarily closed after customers complained of irregularities in petrol and a video showing a water-like substance being dispensed from a pipe into a bottle surfaced.

Petrol pump manager Anubhav Awasthi said BPCL’s maintenance team from Bhauti, Kanpur, had been called to check the fuel quality. Kalyanpur police station in charge Keshav Kumar Tiwari said police had not received any written complaint on the issue yet. The petrol pump has been closed temporarily and further action would be taken on the basis of the district supply officer’s investigation report, he said.

Petrol Sales Halted at Local Station Amid Refunds for Affected Customers

Following complaints from customers, the local petrol station has refunded approximately 22 individuals who purchased petrol on Tuesday. The station will suspend petrol sales until the cause of the suspected irregularity is determined. A decision regarding the resumption of operations will depend on the findings from BPCL’s ongoing investigation.
