Lucknow: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday said that the month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ from Sept 17 to Oct 17 to commemorate Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s 25 years in public life should take the story of service, good governance and welfare-driven development to every section of society through 13 major programmes and extensive public participation. The campaign will begin on Sept 17, Modi’s birthday, with ‘Aashirvaad Ka Diya’, under which beneficiaries of central and state govt schemes will light lamps at their homes. Special illumination will also be organised at major infrastructure projects, river ghats, temples, parks, schools, colleges and hospitals. Distribution of assistive devices to differently-abled persons will also be undertaken.
Campaign Strategy Focuses on Local Engagement and Storytelling
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has outlined a comprehensive campaign strategy aimed at enhancing public awareness of government policies. He emphasized the importance of presenting the impact of policy reforms through personal stories rather than just statistics. This approach aims to resonate more deeply with citizens.
The campaign will extend its reach beyond urban centers, targeting grassroots levels such as justice panchayats, gram panchayats, wards, and mohallas. To facilitate effective implementation, a control room will be established in the Chief Minister’s office, with chief development officers appointed as district nodal officers. Regular weekly reviews will take place at both state and district levels to monitor progress.
Additionally, the campaign will include a variety of initiatives designed to engage the community. These will feature competitions for schoolchildren, influencer-led tours of development projects, public service activities, multipurpose service camps, innovation contests, and laser shows at monuments. Special religious ceremonies and village chaupals will also be part of the outreach efforts, aiming to foster deeper connections between the government and local populations.
