PCMC Defends Upcoming General Body Meeting Amid Opposition Claims

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) officials have confirmed that the general body meeting scheduled for September 2 is a routine gathering, countering assertions from opposition members who labeled it a special meeting. A senior civic official clarified that pending issues from the adjourned meeting on August 17 can be addressed in the upcoming session. Municipal secretary Mukesh Kolap emphasized that a general body meeting can be convened if at least four standing committee members submit a written request three days prior to the meeting date. This provision allows for the meeting to be called on short notice.
