Lucknow: BSP national president Mayawati has convened a national-level party meeting in Lucknow

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati is scheduled to address a national-level meeting of the party this Thursday. This meeting is anticipated to focus on strategic discussions and party organization ahead of upcoming political events.

The meeting will focus on finalising broad strategies for Assembly elections due in 2027 in key states, including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab , Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. The last national-level meeting of the BSP was held in December 2025. Party national convener Akash Anand, Mayawati’s nephew, may also be present, according to sources. State units will also brief the party chief on organisational issues they face while strengthening structures at the district and booth levels.
