For the unversed, Patrick Mahomes suffered brutal injuries on the field as he tore his ACL and LCL in his left knee when the Kansas City Chiefs ended up losing to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15, last December. While Patrick Mahomes dealt with injuries and recorded 3,587 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 14 games during the 2025 NFL season, Travis Kelce recorded 76 receptions for 851 yards and five touchdowns over 17 games. Because i know that guy I like and I want to be there for that guy, and you know, that was that’s a huge reason why I’m still playing the game.
A few hours ago, on the latest episode of the popular podcast New Heights, Travis Kelce said, “Oh, Patrick Mahomes, man. He’s got on the special jersey…A lot of the season is dictated on how good the quarterback plays…” The Kansas City Chiefs’ popular tight end added, “I could see the determination.I could see the frustration in his mind that it got to this point this year. Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes , the strongest duo in the league, are gearing up for the new season which is all set to begin in the next few days. Travis Kelce has finally weighed in on it While there have been many concerns about Patrick Mahomes’ fitness on the field. He’s out there slinging the ball, man. I’ll tell you what. Uh, obviously practice, it doesn’t matter if your quarterback is coming off an injury or not. Uh you know, in every aspect of the game. Um and I think that’s uh that’s exciting coming into the year. We get a fresh start. Things have only gotten more and more complicated for the popular quarterback Patrick Mahomes as he was also ruled out from playing in the preseason games of the Kansas City Chiefs. This has sparked more concerns and doubts about Patrick Mahomes’ fitness even though the team’s head coach Andy Reid has expressed his confidence in the top quarterback. The last season was tough on both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. After losing out on winning the Super Bowl in the last few seasons, both Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have remained committed to the idea of making their franchise proud this time.
