The infant is currently in critical condition with injuries to her private parts, police added. Muzaffarnagar : A three-month-old girl was allegedly brutally sexually assaulted by a domestic help at a village in UP’s Mainpuri district, police said on Thursday.
The 32-year-old accused, who had spent several years at a juvenile home for a past crime, took his employer’s daughter to the house’s backyard around 6pm Tuesday and violated her, according to police. They then contacted the police emergency helpline 112, and moved her to a local community health centre. An FIR was registered late Wednesday against the domestic help under BNS 65 (2) (rape of a female under 12 years), 333 (house-trespass after preparation for causing hurt or assault) along with the Pocso Act based on a complaint by the infant’s father.

He then returned with the infant who was crying continuously and told her mother to make her quiet. DSP Ramakrishna Dwivedi told TOI : “The domestic help has been arrested and sent to jail. But her mother soon found that she was bleeding profusely. The family initially took the baby to a local doctor, who allegedly refused to treat her. Considering her critical state, doctors there referred her to the district hospital in Mainpuri, and from there to PGI Saifai, where she is currently receiving treatment. The father alleged that the accused, from the same village, came to their house after working in his farm and then committed the crime. Evidence is being collected of the assault.
