In Gorakhpur, the Gola police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against an individual accused of assaulting a headmaster of a government school. The incident reportedly occurred after the headmaster punished the man’s daughter for arriving late to school. The situation has raised concerns about parental responses to disciplinary actions in educational settings.
Students who arrived late for the morning assembly on Sept 1 were punished as part of disciplinary measures, according to the complaint. Police said the girl’s father later came to the school and entered the headmaster’s office, where an argument broke out over the punishment imposed on his daughter. Gola police station in-charge Chandraprakash Pandey said an FIR has been registered in the matter and further action will be taken after the investigation.
