Harish urges Centre, guv to impose President's rule

He said the alleged attempt to attack BRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao’s residence at Erravelli was shameful and unacceptable and demanded that chief minister A Revanth Reddy apologise unconditionally. Hyderabad: Alleging the governance has gone off track and law and order has completely failed in Telangana , former minister T Harish Rao has urged the Centre and Telangana governor to intervene and impose President’s Rule in the state.

Condemning the alleged incident involving BRS women MLAs, Harish said, “How can the speaker say that there was no attack on women MLAs when the entire country witnessed the visuals? Instead, cases were filed against the women MLAs who alleged that they were attacked,” he said. When complaints were given, cases were not registered.

Harish, who was taken into custody by the police at Hakimpet and shifted to Jawahar Nagar police station on Tuesday, spoke to media and criticised the CM and the Congress govt over the recent incidents in the assembly and the alleged attacks on BRS leaders and legislators.

All 119 MLAs must be treated equally.

This clearly raises questions about the understanding between Congress and BJP,” Harish Rao said. The CM should explain why questions are being raised about KCR’s security while his own brother, who is not even a ward member, is reportedly provided four gunmen and significant security expenditure,” Harish further said. His membership should be cancelled if the remarks are found to be in violation of the rules,” he said. The speaker must act impartially,” he said.

“If BJP members carry placards, they are allowed. But when BRS members raise issues or wear T-shirts highlighting public problems, they are stopped. “KCR is a two-time CM and the leader of the opposition. His security is the responsibility of the govt. Harish also demanded strict action against Shadnagar MLA Shankar over his alleged remarks against KCR. “Making comments wishing for the death of KCR is completely unacceptable. The speaker must take immediate action and initiate proceedings against the MLA. “The LoP holds the second-highest position in the assembly after the CM. Why is no action being taken against those making such serious remarks against him?
