Six trains from Howrah to different parts of Bihar will be cancelled between Sept 20 and Oct 3. Kolkata: Several north-India bound trains, including Howrah-Delhi Duronto and Poorva Express, and trains headed to Kathgodam, Dehradun, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction and Prayagraj will be rerouted later this month owing to advancement work in Sonpur and Danapur in Bihar .
A social media post by the divisional railway manager, Howrah, said the diversions would increase travel durations but were necessary to facilitate pre-non-interlocking and non-interlocking work for improvement and advancement of the network. “The work will increase safety and make trains faster,” he said.
