Mohol said it was a “routine” meeting where various issues pertaining to the city’s development were discussed. We asked corporators to focus on works from their areas,” Mohol told reporters later. “I asked them to continue their work and whatever responsibilities are given to them by the party,” he added. Sources in the party however said the corporators are unhappy over not getting a chance to speak at the general body meetings. The corporators have also raised issues over lack of coordination among the senior corporators and office bearers that is leading to confusion, sources said. It was the first such meeting held by Mohol where maximum corporators were present along with party’s key leaders, including PMC’s leader of house Ganesh Bidkar, standing committee chairman Shrinath Bhimale. Mohol, however, refuted the claims of displeasure among his party’s corporators. “There is no displeasure among corporators. The party holds such meetings every month ahead of general body meetings. This month’s general body meeting is scheduled in the next two days hence we decided to hold a meeting. We have asked the elected representatives to attend the general body meetings to put forth their issues.
