Authorities are taking steps to ensure that rescued children receive appropriate care, protection and rehabilitation support, according to a statement issued by the city Crime Branch. Teams from the Mahila Cell, Crime Branch and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) have been carrying out coordinated action at traffic signals and across major roads in the city. The drive is aimed at curbing begging at busy junctions and public places, while also focusing on the rehabilitation of those rescued, particularly children. Download the TOI App.
