Teams inspected 55 buildings across five zones. Ahmedabad: As a preventive measure after the Delhi PG building collapse, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Wednesday launched a special structural safety inspection drive covering PG facilities, hostels and student dormitories.
None of the 55 inspected were found to be in a visibly hazardous state. The inspection aimed to determine whether any of the structures was prima facie in a dangerous condition. The AMC teams issued guidelines and instructions to facility operators on precautionary measures. They were also directed to undertake regular structural maintenance and adhere to safety standards.
