The Dharampeth Zone of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation has suspended operations of a weekly market at Ganga Nagar in Friends Colony. This action was taken on Wednesday, primarily due to severe traffic congestion and public inconvenience linked to road encroachments. Authorities cited these issues as significant factors in their decision to prevent the market from functioning in the area.

The administration has warned that no weekly market or vegetable vendors will be allowed to occupy the main road.
