Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut on Friday questioned the status of development projects announced during Marathwada Mukti Sangram Amrut Mahotsav, asking what became of the proposed Rs 5,500-crore helicopter spare-parts plant in Nanded . Raut said CM Devendra Fadnavis had announced the helicopter spare-parts plant after returning from Davos and claimed Rs 5,500 crore had been sanctioned for the project.
Taking a swipe at govt, Raut said, “Forget a helicopter plant, they could at least have started a bicycle spare-parts factory to create jobs for local youth. He further alleged that govt had funds to “buy MLAs” but not to generate jobs. “Thirty-three projects were announced in Nanded district, but work has started on only three, and that too barely,” Danve said. Danve said Sena (UBT) would continue its protests until govt addressed public concerns and delivered on its development promises.
“There is still no clarity on what happened to it. There are differences between the CM and the industries minister,” he alleged. Danve echoed the criticism, accusing govt of making announcements without implementation. He cited the Godavari riverfront, Lendi dam and Babli dam projects as examples. He also sought details on production at the Latur rail coach factory.

Raut was in Nanded as part of Sena (UBT)’s statewide ‘Tumse Na Ho Payega’ agitation campaign aimed at highlighting what the party describes as BJP-led govt’s failure to deliver on its promises. “During Amrut Mahotsav, there was a flood of development announcements.
The Rajya Sabha member also criticised govt over Maratha quota activist Manoj Jarange’s 13-day hunger strike, accusing it of failing to address public concerns.
Not just its sensitivities, govt itself is dead and what we see is only its skeleton,” he said. Raut said Marathwada had a long history of resisting oppression and warned that growing public discontent in the region could intensify. “This fire will reach Delhi,” he said, while taking a dig at former CM Ashok Chavan, now with BJP, saying he should ensure pending projects in the region are completed.
“People gave you power to solve their problems, but you have proved incapable of running govt. Govt’s sensitivities are dead.
