Nagpur: Crime Branch on Thursday arrested a man within three hours for allegedly kidnapping a 14-year-old boy from his home.
Siddharth Pillewan (26) of Shastri Nagar slum was held from Nandanvan NIT Garden and handed over to Nandanvan police. Complainant Mahesh Rathod (39) of Nandanvan alleged that after a fight between Pillewan and his wife, he tried to reason with Pillewan. On Sept 11, Pillewan took Rathod’s son Dhruv (14) from the residence around 6am, claiming he was taking the boy to his father’s house.

The boy was safely rescued, said police. He later called and demanded that his wife be brought home immediately, threatening to harm the boy. A team led by PI Baburao Raut of Crime Branch and Cyber Cell officers located the accused. Download the TOI App.
