Houthi Attack on Saudi Arabia Injures Two
A projectile launched by Yemen’s Houthi rebels struck the southern Jazan region of Saudi Arabia on Saturday, wounding two individuals and damaging several buildings, including a mosque, according to Saudi civil defense authorities. The attack also resulted in damage to multiple vehicles in the al-Tuwal governorate.
The Houthis claimed that their missile targeted a Saudi military base located in Sharurah, within the southern Najran province, as reported by Al Jazeera.
More than 500 people have been killed and tens of thousands displaced in the fighting, according to the international organization for migration, and local officials. Houthi fighters have taken control of Yemen’s entire Red Sea coast, seizing the strategic port city of Mocha, while Yemeni government forces have opened new fronts in al-Jawf, Marib and al-Bayda.
