The CJP founder announced that he would travel across Maharashtra to directly interact with MPSC aspirants and teachers, understand their concerns and chart the next course of action.
Dipke said the agitation would now move beyond protests and into a statewide mobilisation effort aimed at bringing together students and job aspirants across Maharashtra. “If the demands are not met by Sept 24, we will consult students and undertake a statewide tour to mobilise support for the agitation,” Dipke said. CJP said the campaign would help build a broader movement around issues affecting competitive examination candidates. “I stand with the aspirants and will continue supporting them until the resignations are secured,” he said. Dipke visited the bereaved family last week and said the incident reflected the immense pressure and uncertainty faced by students preparing for competitive examinations.
The decision was taken at a meeting of Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) aspirants, teachers and CJP office-bearers in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, where participants resolved to intensify the ongoing agitation and push for accountability in the wake of allegations surrounding irregularities in recruitment examinations. The issue has gathered political traction in recent weeks, with NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar participating in protests at various locations and Maharashtra Congress chief Harshwardhan Sapkal also raising the matter publicly. Anger among aspirants intensified further after the recent suicide of MPSC aspirant Prathmesh Deshmukh from Dharashiv.
The campaign is intended to force authorities to address the concerns of aspirants and restore confidence in the examination process, according to CJP office-bearers. They maintained that the movement is focused on securing accountability from the commission and is not directed against state govt.
