Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar rural police have warned of stringent action, including detention under the Maharashtra Prevention of Dangerous Activities (MPDA) Act, against habitual offenders involved in extortion, threats and other crimes targeting industrial establishments in Gangapur and MIDC Paithan. The meeting focused on strengthening security amid investments running into tens of thousands of crores and the influx of workers from different states into emerging industrial clusters. The warning was issued by superintendent of police Prakash Jadhav at an industry-police coordination meeting held at Ajanta Pharma’s meeting hall at MIDC Paithan on Wednesday.
