Vyshak was named in the 15-member India A multi-day squad led by Devdutt Padikkal with an asterisk. The 29-year-old has failed to recover from a hamstring injury. Karnataka pacer Vijaykumar Vyshak has been ruled out of the India A squad that is set to play two four-day matches against Australia A. Vyshak has been replaced by Andhra off-spinner Tripurana Vijay.
The 25-year-old off-spinner is on the targeted players list and recently featured in the Duleep Trophy final. In 17 first-class matches, he has taken 57 wickets, including four five-wicket hauls and one 10-wicket haul. The A team had a week-long camp at the BCCI ’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. Playing for South Zone, he picked up five wickets in the match. Tripurana Vijay, who had been called up for a spin-bowling camp at the CoE, will now travel with the team on Friday.
