Nvidia’s Jensen Huang Dismisses AI Doomsday Predictions
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has rejected claims that artificial intelligence could lead to humanity’s extinction by 2030. His remarks come in the wake of President Donald Trump’s recent statement labeling such predictions a ‘hoax.’ Huang’s comments also follow the resignation of Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon, who left his position due to serious safety concerns regarding AI technologies.
In an interview with CBS News, Huang stated, ‘I believe the claims, The end of the world, [are] stirring fear across America. The people who are doing it make no sense to me.’ He suggested that those promoting these dire predictions may have ulterior motives, whether political or for attention. Huang firmly asserted, ‘2030 is not going to be the end of the world. There is a 0% chance it’s going to be the end of the world.’
Huang says industry should not slow down
