Lucknow: In a major administrative reshuffle, Uttar Pradesh govt on Saturday transferred 35 IPS officers, affecting police commissionerates, district postings and various wings of the police department.

Among the key changes, superintendent of police, UP-112, Lucknow, Charu Nigam was shifted to Ghaziabad as the commandant of the 47th Battalion PAC. DCP, Kanpur Nagar, Shravan Kumar Singh was transferred to Gautam Budh Nagar in the same capacity. Pramod Kumar, who was serving as DCP, Varanasi, has been posted as superintendent of police, cyber headquarters, Lucknow, while DCP Ravi Shankar Neem was shifted from Gautam Budh Nagar Gorakhpur as Commandant of the 2nd Battalion SSF. Atul Sharma, who was posted in Agra as DCP, will now join at intelligence headquarters, Lucknow, as superintendent of police. DCP, Prayagraj, Neeraj Kumar Pandey has been shifted to police headquarters in Prayagraj as SP. Mamta Rani Chaudhary who was serving as DCP in Lucknow will take over as SP, CID, Lucknow, while SP, police headquarters, Prayagraj, Irfan Ansari has been given a CBI-related assignment. Among other officers, DCP, Gautam Budh Nagar, Saad Mian Khan will join as DCP, Agra, while DCP Syed Ali Abbas will moved from Agra to Gautam Budh Nagar in the same capacity. Shruti Srivastava, additional commissioner of police, Varanasi, was transferred as additional commissioner of police, Prayagraj. Among district-level postings, Vikram Dahiya was shifted from Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP), Pilibhit, to ASP, Chandauli; Ayush Srivastava moved from SP City, Jaunpur, to SP City, Unnao; and Rajesh Gunawat was posted from Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Firozabad, to Additional DCP, Varanasi.
