Lucknow : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath will distribute appointment letters to 912 candidates selected for various posts in the Uttar Pradesh Police Department at Lok Bhavan on Sunday. The appointment of the 912 candidates will add to the state police workforce in specialised administrative and confidential roles. The candidates have been recruited through the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board following a selection process described by the department as fair and transparent. The appointments cover three categories of posts within the police department. Those receiving appointment letters include candidates selected for the posts of sub-inspector (Confidential), assistant sub-inspector (Clerk) and assistant sub-inspector (Accounts). The CM will personally hand over appointment letters to some of the selected candidates. Finance and Parliamentary Affairs minister Suresh Kumar Khanna, along with other senior dignitaries, will also attend the programme. Candidates selected as sub-inspectors (Confidential) will be part of the police department’s confidential establishment, while those appointed as assistant sub-inspectors (Clerk) and assistant sub-inspectors (Accounts) will handle clerical and financial responsibilities within the department.
