Kanpur: A 16-year-old Class VI student died shortly after a quack allegedly administered an injection at his shop in Gram Biraudhi under Bharthana police station area of Etawah on Saturday evening, prompting her family and villagers to stage a protest outside the premises.

Her father, Indresh Kumar, said she visited the village shop for medicine after getting some relief from the fever. SHO Vikram Singh said strict legal action would be taken against the accused after police received a written complaint from the family. Radha had been suffering from fever for three days. Family members and villagers placed Radha’s body outside the shop and staged a protest, demanding action against the accused.
