Railways will introduce three special trains on routes through Prayagraj Chheoki to accommodate increased passenger demand during the upcoming festive period, which includes Durga Puja, Diwali, and Chhath Puja. Additionally, the daily special train service will be extended to further support travelers during this busy time.
The Pottanur-Barauni-Pottanur weekly special will operate from Oct 4 to Nov 4. Train 06021 will leave Pottanur every Sunday at 6:15am and reach Prayagraj Chheoki at 1:30am on Tuesday before reaching Barauni at 1:30pm the same day. The return train 06022 will run every Wednesday from Barauni between Oct 7 and Nov 4, reaching Prayagraj Chheoki at 10:30pm and Pottanur at 6:30pm on Friday. The train will have 24 coaches, including three AC first-cum-second AC coaches, one AC second class, 14 sleeper, four general and two SLRD coaches. The Rani Kamalapati-Danapur-Rani Kamalapati bi-weekly special will run from Oct 12 to Nov 17. Train 01667 will operate every Monday and Friday from Rani Kamalapati and reach Prayagraj Chheoki at 2:10am the next day before arriving at Danapur at 9:15am. On the return journey, 01668 will run every Tuesday and Saturday from Danapur during the same period and reach Prayagraj Chheoki at 6:15pm before reaching Rani Kamalapati at 10:50am the next day.
The 24-coach train will comprise four AC third class, two AC second class, 12 sleeper, four general and two SLRD coaches. The Sogaria (Kota)-Danapur-Sogaria weekly special will run from Oct 10 to Nov 16. Train 09823 will leave Sogaria every Saturday at 11:10pm and reach Prayagraj Chheoki at 3:50pm on Sunday before arriving at Danapur at 11:45pm. The return train 09824 will leave Danapur every Monday at 1:15am and reach Prayagraj Chheoki at 8:55am before reaching Sogaria at 3:45am on Tuesday. Train 01449 will operate from Pune from Sept 29 to Nov 30, while 01450 will run from Danapur from Oct 1 to Dec 2, with 63 trips in each direction. Railways has advised passengers to check updated train information through helpline 139 or the NTES app before travelling.
