The Kansas City Chiefs star reportedly spent $5.35 million on a historic Ohio mansion that combines old-world charm with modern comforts. Spread across 3.5 acres, the sprawling estate offers plenty of privacy, a lakeside setting and several features suited to entertaining guests. At 37, Kelce has secured a property that offers considerably more than impressive square footage. Located in Bratenahl, Ohio, the mansion sits along Lake Erie and covers approximately 1.4 hectares. The residence has around 1,950 square metres of living space, with eight bedrooms and spacious entertainment areas. Kelce purchased the estate in March 2026 for $5.35 million, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. The property had initially entered the market in 2024 with an asking price close to $7 million. Its price was later reduced to $5.99 million before the NFL star completed the purchase. Built around 1895, the 131-year-old residence retains several details from its original design. With approximately 1,430 residents recorded in the 2020 census, it also offers a quieter setting away from the crowds of a major city. The purchase came just months before Kelce married singer Taylor Swift in July 2026 in New York.

Travis Kelce has added another impressive property to his growing real estate portfolio, but his latest purchase is far from an ordinary luxury home. The purchase also carries a personal connection for Kelce, who chose a location close to the Ohio communities where he spent his childhood. An open wooden staircase, decorative griffin sculptures, fireplace-equipped living rooms and stained-glass dining room windows give the house a distinctive character. However, its entertainment facilities bring a modern touch. A former ballroom has been converted into a games room and private home theatre. The backyard also features a swimming pool, while a separate two-bedroom guest house provides additional accommodation. The guest house was originally built as a guardhouse near the entrance. The location makes this purchase particularly interesting. Kelce grew up in Cleveland Heights and was born in Westlake, Ohio. His new home in Bratenahl brings him closer to the region that shaped his early life and football journey. For Kelce, the mansion represents more than another expensive investment. It brings together his Ohio connections, a historic setting and the privacy that comes with owning a sprawling lakeside estate. After years of building his legacy with the Kansas City Chiefs, the tight end has secured a home that reflects a different side of his life away from the football field.
