UP BJP leaders at Awadh region meeting in Lucknow
Lucknow: Asserting that the upcoming legislative council elections for the teachers’ and graduates’ constituencies could potentially serve as a crucial organisational exercise ahead of the next year’s state assembly elections, UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary on Saturday said every party worker must operate with the mantra “win the booth, win the election”. Chaudhary said the teachers’ and graduates’ constituency elections are not merely an electoral process but a significant opportunity to showcase BJP’s continuous engagement and dialogue with the state’s educated, intellectual and graduate voters. Chairing a meeting of Awadh region, Chaudhary held detailed discussions with the organisational leaders on election strategy, voter outreach, booth and polling centre management and ways to increase voter turnout. Special emphasis was placed on ensuring effective election management down to the booth level. The state president observed a common perception among teachers’ and graduates’ constituency voters that many do not turn up at polling centres on election day. He directed that election offices be established and call centres activated in every district. He emphasised that the party’s full strength must be visible alongside the candidate on the day of nomination. Arrangements for voter assistance centres, refreshments and other necessary facilities for voters on polling day must also be systematically ensured. He emphasised that success in these elections hinges on every party worker establishing direct contact and dialogue with voters and taking responsibility for ensuring they cast their votes on polling day.
