Gorakhpur : Police have solved the mystery behind the deaths of two teenagers from Bharatolia village in the Chauri Chaura area, linking the murder of a 14-year-old boy to his 17-year-old friend, who allegedly died by suicide the following day.
Shiva Rajbhar, 14, was allegedly strangled to death by Shyam Rajbhar, 17, on Sept 23, according to police. On Sept 24, his body was found on railway tracks near Sathwa. The postmortem report confirmed that Shiva had been strangled.
Police said Shyam returned home and went to sleep. Police said that the motive behind the crime remains unclear, and police are questioning family members and acquaintances to ascertain the reason for the incident. The next day, Shyam died after jumping in front of a train near Sathwa. Preliminary investigation indicated that he had died after jumping in front of a train. The following day, Shiva’s decomposed body was discovered inside a room on the Jal Kal premises after a foul smell alerted locals, who informed police.
