Rejinagar (Murshidabad): Aam Janata Unnayan Party chief Humayun Kabir on Friday said he, along with his son — Rejinagar AJUP bypoll candidate Golam Nabi Azad — would fall at Union home minister Amit Shah ’s and BJP president Nitin Nabin ’s feet if CM Suvendu Adhikari’s promise to make Rejinagar a model assembly constituency is not kept in the event of an AJUP victory.
Earlier, he (the CM) said opposition MLAs would be invited to administrative meetings. “There is no point pleading with the CM here. They will not heed my words. Now, we are being sent text invites two hours after a meeting starts,” he added.
