He said no compromise regarding the quality of construction and repair works would be accepted. He instructed that the identified damaged roads in the city be repaired and made fit for traffic before Diwali . All tasks must be completed within the stipulated time frame, in accordance with the govt’s intent. Instructions were also issued to ensure an effective system for garbage collection and disposal. Municipal commissioner Arpit Upadhyay stated that roads connecting hospitals and schools would be repaired on a priority basis. The meeting also reviewed the situation regarding waterlogging and roads damaged by rain.
