The incident took place on October 2 at a house in Khadda Colony. They found that the 24-year-old woman had allegedly jumped into a shaft of the house, police said. Police and fire brigade personnel then launched a rescue operation and safely pulled the woman out of the shaft.
One of the women was working in the kitchen when the other allegedly recorded a video of her and sent it to another person, leading to a quarrel between the two, according to officials. The other woman subsequently locked herself inside a room, following which a PCR call was made to Kalindi Kunj police station. On receiving the information, Kalindi Kunj SHO Raman Kumar rushed to the spot. A fire brigade team also reached the house. As the woman had locked herself inside the room, police and fire brigade personnel opened the door with the assistance of the fire brigade team.
